Block paving and tarmac are what the van says, and what we do most weeks of the year. Everything on this page is our own work, photographed on our own jobs across Solihull and Warwickshire.

Hot laid and properly compacted, usually with a block paved border to finish the edges cleanly. A wide drive done in a day when the base allows.
Indian sandstone, porcelain and slabs, with the brickwork, raised beds, steps and fencing that make the garden work around them.
Where the tarmac meets the block, and where the drive meets the road. The joins are the part that gives a cheap job away, so we take our time on them.
Slabbed paths, aprons and garden routes in slate, sandstone and porcelain, laid to fall so the water runs off them rather than sitting.
Walls, piers and all types of brickwork alongside the drive, plus roofing, fascias and soffits. One firm, one point of contact, one tidy site.
Central Drives & Landscapes has been a limited company since January 2017, run by Michael Doherty out of Solihull with offices at Knowle and Kenilworth. That is the whole business. The person who comes out to measure and price your drive is the person whose name is on the reviews, and he will be back on site while it is being laid.

The old surface and the soft ground under it come out and go on the lorry. Nothing is raked to the side and buried under your new drive.
Stone laid and whacked down in layers rather than tipped in one go, because a base compacted in one pass is a base that settles unevenly.
Edge restraints haunched in concrete and the levels set so water runs where you want it, before a single block or tonne of tarmac goes down.
Blocks laid to the pattern you chose, kiln dried sand brushed in and vibrated home, or tarmac hot laid and rolled while it is still workable.
Site cleared, drive washed off, and we walk it with you before the van leaves. Anything you are not happy with, we sort there and then.
